KVS Mini 1 1982

Essentially the same company, New Map in Lyon, responsible for the prewar New Map, the Rolux and the Solyto, was in business until 1989. Beginning in 1970, (while the Solyto was still in production), it produced the KV in several versions-
the Mini 1, the Mini 2, 2B and 2S and Gad'Jet.

Colours offered were the same as the Solyto- metallic grey and metallic green.

From 1975, an "S" was added to KV by the new director Joseph Spalek. The clientele for this class of vehicle, composed largely of elderly drivers unable to deal with the formalities of a drivers test, was substantial enough in 1970 to support some 35 manufacturers, but was disappearing by 1980, and Spalek decided to close vehicle production in 1989.

This is an example of a late model Mini 1, featuring wide indicator lights, and the hardtop-style roof with steel-framed rear window.
