1956 Montesa Brio 91 3rd series

Montesa Honda is the Spanish subsidiary of Honda, which assembles several models of motorcycles, bicycles, and parts at its Barcelona plant. The company exports 75 per cent of its production to Europe.

In 1956 Montesa showed a successor Brio 90 – an upgraded model Brio 91. It was the first motorcycle of the company with a 4-speed gearbox. The motorcycle to order could be equipped with various sports accessories - from special handles on the wheel and to a close ratio gearbox. During the production period, the Brio 91 underwent a number of improvements, one of which was shock-absorbers of the rear suspension, designed to facilitate the management of the motorcycle. Until 1959, there were built 5,204 Montesa Brio 91.
