1950 Hotchkiss 2050
The French company Hotchkiss produced cars from 1903 to 1955. The French manufacturer of luxury cars made a name for himself long before the beginning of the Second World War, though by the 1950s, he almost went bankrupt because of declining sales and the lack of new developments.
An inline six-cylinder engine in the elegant "2050" was a good pre-war development and used in versions of "686" (1946) and then as a 686 S49. In 1950 the car with a spring independent suspension and two Zenith carburetors was renamed "2050" or "1350" with a four-cylinder engine.
Four types of bodies: a four-door sedan Anjou, a limousine, an open Charpron Antheor and an attractive two-door version of the Grand Sport 130 hp were proposed as a choice. The last variant is the most popular today and is sold at the highest price. Later modifications introduced V-shaped windshield and integrated headlights in the wings.
The museum car participated in the Monte Carlo Rally in 1949 and 1950.
