Among different Porsche 917 versions the 917/20 takes a special place. It was unique. The Porsche engineers in cooperation with the French company SERA made an attempt to combine the advantages of the short and long tail 917. Its body was extremely wide and had strongly rounded wheel arches. The nose was deep and flat as a new long tail of coupe, only shorter. But the best was its the most creative painting in the history of Porsche according to which the 917/20 got its nicknames: “pig” (Die Sau), “Plump Berta” ( Dicke Berta) or “Truffle Hunter” (Trüffeljäger). Porsche designer Anatoly Lapin employed a unique pink saucer and marked in compliance with different series. "Die Sau", represented by Porsche in Le Mans in 1971, made a great sensation, having won practice races. In the main race the 917/20 placed just the fifth.
