1955 Ducati 125 sport

Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A. is an Italian company that designs and manufactures motorcycles. Headquartered in Bologna, Italy, Ducati is owned by German automotive manufacturer Audi through its Italian subsidiary Lamborghini, which is all owned by the Volkswagen Group.
The company Ducati was founded in 1926 in Bologna. The company’s founders were the brothers Andriano and Marcello Ducati. The both were interested in radio-engineering, that’s why the first focus area of the company was in particular the production of radio facilities. In the 20-s of the XX century the demand for megaphones and loud-speakers got things done, and the company developed well.
After World War II the demand for radio equipment slackened, and the company came under the state control. The construction of cheap means of transportation was very important at that time in Italy, so the activity of the Ducati shifted to vehicle production.
