1952 Ducati 98 ccm OHV

Antonio Cacelieri DUCATI together with his 3 sons began to produce condensers and radio receivers in 1926. Nine years later the company removed its factory to Borgo Paginate near Bologna, where electric shavers, fridges and cameras had to be produced.
After World War II in 1946 the brothers Ducati got the right from Turin lawyer to produce an auxiliary bicycle engine "Cucciolo".
In 1952 a light-duty motorcycle with a 98 cc OHV engine and a motor scooter with a 175 cc engine were produced, all engines were 4-stroke. These two motorcycles were produced till 1954.

The sample exposed in the museum is a DUCATIS 98 ccm OHV, which was produced within the period of 1952-1955. 4-stroke engine, bore diameter х piston-stroke - 49.4 x 52 mm, top power is 9 hp.
