1967 VW T1 - Pritschenwagen

The Dutch general importer VW - PONS made drafts of the Transporter model, based on the VW - Beetle.
These drafts were approved by the VW chief - Heinrich Nordhoff. He set the task to build the VW- Transporter, which went into production in 1949.
Later the model "T1" was produced in the following variants: vans, buses, microbuses and pick ups, and by 1967 about 18 million pieces had been made and these automobiles were sold very well.
The museum vehicle from the funds Eislaufvereins Wörthersee was built in 1967 and equipped with a 44 hp 1,483 cm3 engine. It had already an electrical system with the voltage of12 V.
