1953 Steyr Autobus 380 A " Österreichische Post "
In 1963 General directorate of Austrian post decided to buy “Traveling post offices”. The purpose was to use them when the reconstruction of numerous post offices in the country took place or to employ them in such events as fairs or exhibitions. To this end the bus Steyr 380А produced in 1953, was enormously rebuilt into “a wheeled post office” in July, 1963. The accessories such as advertising boards were placed in the one-axis trailer.
After the history collection of Austrian Post had been canceled in 2008 the “post office” was passed to the museum Historama.
