It is the rarest collectible item of the V8 engine model lineup with a seven-seat body, custom-fabricated by the famous Stuttgart firm Karl Baur. In the first half of the XX century this firm was one of the leading and the most conspicuous body works. During the period from 1933 till 1940 not more than one hundred automobiles with the Pullman Cabriolet body, having a glass slider between the driver’s and passenger compartments were produced.

The firm Karl Baur bought the car’s chassis from the Horch plant. The production of this truly luxury cabriolet took about twelve months and the interior trim was performed according to a customer’s wish. The automobiles built by the firm Karl Baur differed from other representatives of its vehicle class by high quality, comfort and the interior magnificence. Valuable sorts of leather and rare wood species (rosewood, walnut burl) were used at the trim, at customer’s option the radio of the firms Blaupunkt, Körting or Telefunken was installed, as well as the heating system Bosch. The total cost of the automobile was rather high for its time - 15 000 Reichsmarks.
