The Mercedes-Benz 190SL (the internal model designation W 121 II B) is a sporting car from Mercedes-Benz produced between 1955 and 1963 as a roadster (a coupe with a removable hardtop was also available).
Number 190 denotes a tenth part of the engine displacement in cubic centimeters. The designation SL derives from the German Sport Leicht, or Sport Lightweight.
