Tractor Т-38 Model is a result of updating KDP-35 tractor and it features improved undercarriage robustness achieved by the use of roller bearings and metal rubber end-seals in rollers and guide wheels.

A centralized lubrication system of rollers from common oil tank has allowed to minimize the time intervals required for lubrication. A torsional suspension of track bogies has improved machine's travel smoothness, especially when working across the rows. Because of turning the final drive lower housings, the gravity center position was improved, which enhanced the tractor stability when operating with the attached implements. As a result of the above modernization, T-38M model was developed and produced from 1961 up to 1973.

Pre-sowing tillage, sugar beet sowing, inter-row cultivation & harvesting, as well as inter-raw cultivation of other tilled crops and general-purpose agricultural jobs
