1951 Fiat 25R
The FIAT firm was founded in 1899 by the group of investors, among who was Giovanni Agnelli. In 1902 Agnelli became the managing director of the enterprise, which grew into one of the world largest automobile manufacturers. The history of the Fiat Trattori bagan in 1918, when the firm produced its first tractor - Fiat 702 – of 30 hp power. The Fiat 25R came in the world in 1951 and got to be a key vehicle in the history of the Fiat company. It was an innovative tractor in European market of agricultural engineering, the first in the long line of the tractors, up to 1983. Almost about 45,000 units of this machinery were produced altogether running on diesel fuel.
The Fiat 25R is equipped with a diesel Fiat engine with the swept capacity of 1,901 cm3 of 24 hp output at 2,000 rev/min. The earlier versions were provided with a 4-speed gear, while the later ones were equipped with 5-speed. The 25R had an electric starter, which was rather unusual for the tractors of the time.
