1941 40-mm Bofors Anti-aircraft Gun
Widely used during WWII.it provided an effective range up to 7,200m and had an elevation arc from -5°to +90°. The Bofors gun was first invented in Sweden in 1930.By 1939,it was in service with some 18 countries,some of Which introduced significant changes and also exported the revised weapon. On display here is the British version .which was the standard medium antiaircraft gun used by the British Forces from 1930 to 1970. A number of these guns were in the hands of the members of the British Forces in Hong Kong in 1941.
