The 8CM was a highly successful car that has been driven by the greatest drivers of the time. Its 3000cc engine was the last one designed by Alfieri, who died in 1932, and was originally created for a single-seater with front wheel drive. When this project was shelved, the engine was used for the marque's first single-seater vehicle, the first in Europe to use hydraulic brake control. The car on display has been driven by one of the myths of world class racing, Tazio Nuvolari.
