The Touring version was chosen for mass production which began m 1958 because of its lightweight body, and sound level guaranteed by the Superleggera aluminium construction system. Updated over the years with disc brakes , a 5-speed gearbox and a mechanical fuel injection system, it remained in production until 1964.
