Ardilla was a Catalan brand of motorcycles produced by the company Industrias del Plata, SA in Barcelona in the period between 1950 and 1952.
The company produced one model: Ardilla, a 100% Catalan motorcycle according to their own patents. The design was beautiful and had a great success at the initial stage, but after some time due to the absence of updates the company ceased to exist.
The characteristics of the motorcycles were as follows: a two-stroke 125cc single-cylinder engine, air-cooled, the power of 4.5 hp at 4,500 rpm, three velocity changes; a steel tubular frame, a telescopic front suspension and a rear fork (the rear suspension was fitted with two springs), fuel consumption - 3.5 liters per 100 km, the speed of 73 km / h.
