1935 Hispano 514

In 1916 the board of directors of the company Hispano-Suiza approved the establishment of a new factory in the central part of Spain. For building the factory the city of Guadalajara was selected. In 1917 the company Hispano – a national manufacturer of cars, airplanes and military products, better known as La Hispano-Guadalajara was registered.

In early 1931 the factory began the production of the model Hispano 514, a licensed copy of the Italian model Fiat 514. It was equipped with an engine with the capacity of 1439 cm3, and its prototype had already become very popular in Italy by that time. The Hispano 514 was produced only with a sedan body and differed from other Italian models with a radiator, logos and some chrome elements.

During the civil war the factory practically was destroyed, and in December 1935 the company was liquidated. The production of cars and trucks stopped completely, and the aircraft production moved to the city of Seville.
